The Tree Project

The school has been actively involved in developing a plantation of trees, many of which were donated by the Dyer family, the owners of the nearby Borana Lodge. There are now around 100 trees – mainly native cedar – growing successfully within the school compound. The trees have been well watered during their early years by the school staff and are now well established.

We are now keen to involve the older children in the watering of trees through giving each child the responsibility for one tree that would carry his/her own name. There is no doubt that the tree plantation will transform the landscape around the school in the years to come.
